My Story

Lisa KoivuHey there! I’m Lisa Koivu, the founder of Foxpreneurs, as well as, (where I put together an extremely popular list of stocking stuffers for men), and Before focusing solely on my quad of sites, I wrote for U.S. News and World Report,, the Chicago Tribune, and CBS Chicago.

I’ve been blogging, creating websites, learning the ins-and-outs of WordPress, mastering search engine optimization, blog monetization, and social media. As a blog coach, it’s my job to keep on top of the rules, the trends, and know what’s on the up-and-up.

With Foxpreneurs, my goal is to help small business owners and entrepreneurs create an online presence that will engage customers both new and old. It’s imperative that entrepreneurs have an online home built around your brand; a community where customers can feel a connection to you and your vision.

As for my non-online life, I’m originally from the Detroit-area but I currently reside in the Fox Valley in Chicago’s western suburbs with my husband, son, daughter, and our two dogs, Bacon and Ginger. I enjoy traveling and am always up for a vacation. In fact, I spend most of my free time planning out the trips I would like to take, much to my husband’s chagrin. I have a major sweet tooth and love trying new desserts, keeping up with celebrity gossip, reading, and watching Project Runway and Game of Thrones.
